Budget Rent a Car — Organic users up 20.6%
Budget rents cars across Australia, competing for searches where the customer is usually comparing three sites at once and books within the hour. Across the same four months a year apart, organic users grew 20.6% — 640,088 against 530,730 — with sessions up 16.6% and pageviews up 17%, at a bounce rate under 28%. The more useful number is underneath that one. Australian-locale sessions went from 13,291 to 105,770, up nearly 700%, while US-locale sessions fell 5.8%. An Australian car hire site had been found largely by American browsers; a year later it was being found by Australians. The audience did not simply get bigger, it got local — and a visitor in Australia is one who can actually hire the car.
